Formation: Singleback Tight Y Off
Play: Bench Switch
Setup:
- Hot route your Y/triangle receiver to a drag route
- Hot route your tight end to a drag route
- Smart route your B/circle receiver
Reads:
- Your first look is to see if the B/circle receiver gets open against man to man coverage.
- If he is covered, one of the double drags should be open.
- Then look to your X/square receiver and then to your running back on the short curl
Overview: This play has routes that get open against every coverage in the game if you make your reads correctly. The B/circle smart route destroys man to man coverage especially if you have a superstar WR with Slot-O-Matic or Route Technician. The double drags are incredibly deadly as well.
