- Make sure you are on the right hash mark
- Block your running back or put him on a texas route
- Custom stem your X/square receiver all the way down
- Hot route your RB/R1 receiver to a flat or a drag
- (Optional) Hot route your tight end to a Stick Nod route
Reads:
- Your first read is always the X/square receiver on his quick cut to the sideline
- If he is covered, look to the B/circle receiver underneath
Overview: The route that the X/square receiver runs gets open against just about every defense in Madden 26.
Let’s take a closer look at how this play works!

This is how the final play art should look. Make sure you are on the right hash mark.

Right from the start, we should be able to tell if our X/square receiver is (or will get) open.

Against man coverage, you will usually be able to “RAC” catch it by pressing X/square when making the catch. Against zone, you may have to “Possession” catch it by pressing A/X.
