Playbook: San Francisco
Formation: Strong Y Off
Play: PA Boot X Shot
Setup:
- Put the A/X tight end on a curl route
- Put the Y/Triangle running back on an out to the right
Reads:
- The main read on this play will be the B/O receiver going deep to the left side of the field
- If that is not there look to the running back in the flats
- Finally, find the tight end on the curl route
Overview: This play is an absolute money play the streak on the left side of the field makes it nearly impossible to cover the B/O receiver. If time does not permit or they manually cover the B/O receiver we have two nice check downs underneath.
Playbook: San Francisco
Formation: Strong Y Off
Play: Stretch Alert X Lookie
Setup:
- None required
Reads:
- Follow the blocks for the stretch
- If the slant is wide open press X/Square to throw it before you hand it off
Overview: This is a highly effective stretch run. It is very easy to bounce it to the outside and get big yardage. The RPO aspect of it makes it also very effective in the goal line area of the field. This is because if you see the opponent sell out for the run you can simply throw the slant for an easy TD.
Playbook: San Francisco
Formation: Strong Y Off
Play: FB Middle
Setup:
- Put the A/X tight end on a drag
Reads:
- The first read on this play is the A/X tight end on the drag route
- If that is not there look for the RB/R1 running back on the angle route
- Then look for the X/Square receiver on the comeback on the left side of the field
Overview: This play destroys man coverage all the way around. While also still being able to manipulate zone coverage with a high low read going toward the left side of the field. The Drag/Comeback route combination will also leave the RB/R1 running back open when your opponent manually guards the drag route.
