Playbook: Seattle Seahawks

Formation: Singleback Bunch Ace

Play: PA Boot Slide

Setup:

  1. Hot route your X/square receiver to a streak
  2. Motion your B/circle receiver to the left
  3. Hot route your A/X tight end to a slant

Reads:

  1. Your first read is the tight end on the slant
  2. If he is covered, look to your B/circle receiver
  3. You can also hit your L1/LB receiver underneath

Overview: This is a really good play for beating both man and zone coverages.  You may want to block the running back or slide protect to the left.  You can also flip this play and run it to the right side of the screen.

Play: Inside Zone Split

Setup:

  1. Use the right stick to flip the running play to the left
  2. Motion your 2nd tight end to the left

Overview: This is a really effective running play that you will want to call a couple times per game.

Play: PA Fork Shot

Setup:

  1. Hot route your B/circle receiver to a slant route
  2. Hot route your tight end RB/R1 tight end to a drag
  3. Motion your A/X tight end to the left

Reads:

  1. Your first read is the A/X tight end on the post
  2. You also have your tight end on the drag
  3. Your X/square receiver can also be a good option

Overview: This play gets so many receivers open.  Most of the time we are looking to the A/X tight end though.

Play: Drive

Setup:

  1. (Optional) Block your running back
  2. Motion your A/X tight end to the left

Reads:

  1. Your first look is to the A/X tight end
  2. If he is covered, look to the B/circle receiver on the drag route
  3. Your last look is the RB/R1 on the deep corner route

Overview: This play takes a little bit of practice to be able to tell if your A/X receiver is open but once you get the hang of it, it is really easy.

Play: Quick Toss

Setup: None required

Overview: Anytime your opponent brings his linebackers up close to the line of scrimmage, we will want to call quick toss.  Make sure to sub in a fast running back.

Play: Inside Zone

Setup: None required

Overview: This is the default run audible from this formation so we go to it any time we don’t like what the defense is showing us.
