One of the most consequential additions to Madden 26 is the ability to untarget defenders.
In this year’s game you can tell your offensive line to ignore a player that you know isn’t blitzing.
This counters a lot of the most common blitzes used in previous Madden games.

There are two different ways to untarget defenders.
The first is via the slide protection menu.
Step 1: Click LB/L1
Step 2: Click Y/triangle
Step 3: Use the left stick to select the player you want to untarget
Or you can skip the slide protection menu entirely, and just flick your right stick up when at the line of scrimmage and that will take you directly there.
