Madden 25 Red Zone Money Play That Destroys Zone Defense

In today’s free Madden 25 tip, we are going over a really easy play from the Cincinnati Bengals playbook that destroys every zone defense.

We recommend running it in the red zone but technically you can call it from anywhere on the field.

Playbook: Cincinnati Bengals

Formation: Gun Y Trips Wk

Play: GL Fork Zig

Setup:

1. Hot route your RB/R1 receiver to a flat route
2. Hot route your tight end to a post route
3. (Optional) Hot route your X/square receiver to a comeback route

Reads:

1. Your first read is always the B/circle receiver
2. Then look to your running back on the left
3. Against man to man defense, look to the X/square receiver
4. The tight end can get open against both man and zone

Overview: This plays works great near the end zone and especially against zone defense. When you look to the B/circle receiver as your first read you will quickly be able to tell if the defense is in man or zone defense.

You can see how the route combination takes the zone defenders way out of position allowing our B/circle receiver to sneak in undernath.

We catch the ball with no one around and are able to walk into the endzone for an easy touchdown.
