Buried in the Washington Commanders playbook is a double pass play that can get 40+ yards against any zone defense.
We covered a similar play over on our College Football 25 website, CollegeFootball.gg, earlier in the season but it is just as effective in Madden.
Check out the full breakdown below!
Playbook: Washington Commanders
Formation: Gun Split Slot Offset
Play: Mtn Double Pass
Setup: None required

- Against zone coverage, just throw to your B/circle receiver once the defense bites down
Overview: This is the kind of play that you can catch your opponent off guard once a game for a big gain. We recommend running this play from the left hash mark although it isn’t required. If your opponent is in man to man coverage then you’ll want to call a different play.
Note: If the defense pass commits, the secondary will not crash down as shown in the video and you’ll want to just run it with your running back instead of passing it.
Let’s take a closer look at how this play works!
This is what the pre-snap play art looks like. Your quarterback will automatically throw the first pass to you running back.
Once the running back gets the ball, you can see multiple cornerbacks and safeties bite down on the play.
And we are able to get a 40+ yard completion to the B/circle receiver deep.
