Week 6 is in the books and we are starting to approach the halfway point of the NFL season. Certain teams have shined and jumped out to what looks to be a a promising season, while other teams haven’t gotten off to the start they expected and still have some work to do. This roster update reflects the changes that were made because of week 6.
There were three players that were effected negatively 5 or more this week, with the first one being Drew Brees. This isn’t because of his play as he and the Saints had the bye week. Brees was boosted into the 99 overall category after breaking the NFL’s all time leader passing record in week 5. He is now returned to a 94 as he looks to break more records throughout this year.
Rashaan Melvin cornerback of the Oakland Raiders dropped 5 overall as well as 9 awareness to bring him down to an 80 overall.
Steven Winsewski left guard of the Philadelphia Eagles dropped a whopping 8 overall and 14 awareness to bring the offensive lineman down to a 71 overall. However, another Eagles LG Isaac Seumalo jumped 7 overall and gained 9 awareness, Seumalo is now a 72 overall.
Other than Seumalo there was only four other players who gained 3 or more overall in this week’s update, the first being Raheem Mostert of the San Fransisco 49ers. He played his role well in the 49ers backfield with the absence of Alfred Morris. Now a 71 overall and could possibly climb even higher in upcoming weeks.
Brian Winters RG of the New York Jets gained 3 overall and 3 awareness to boost him to a 77 overall. After launching at 69 he has continued to get better week by week.
D.J. Fluker right guard of the Seattle Seahawks is also up 3 and now sits at a 79 overall. This is his 3rd week in a row with a positive roster update.
The last player to gain 3 or more is Josh Walker, LT of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Not only did he gain 4 overall up to a 66. But he gained 7 awareness, 13 agility, and 7 strength all in week 6.
There were nine players that were effected two overall in the right direction this week. With two of the nine being 80 and above players. The first is Byron Jones, cornerback of the Dallas Cowboys. He gained 2 overall, and 5 awareness, this now brings the speedy defensive back to an 87 overall.
Lawrence Guy, DT of the New England Patriots gained 2 overall and is now an 82. He also gained strength, agility, and speed this week as the creators obviously liked what they saw out of Guy this week.
