How To Base Align in Madden 26

How To Base Align In Madden 26

The most popular defensive adjustment used by high level Madden gamers has always been “Base Align.” EA Sports decided to remove that option from Madden 26.

However, we found a workaround that gets your defense in as close of a position as possible to how they’d look in a traditional Base Align.

This trick helps us bring some of the scariest blitzes in all of Madden 26 (which you can get a preview of at the end of the video)! Madden School Unlimited members have full access to those.

Let’s dive in!

In order to do our base align workaround in Madden 26, you need to make two adjustments.

  1. RB + RB on XBOX or R1 + R1 on PlayStation
  2. Y + RB on XBOX or Triangle + R1 on PlayStation

The first button combination tells your entire defense to show blitz (double tap RB/R1).

The second button combination cancels the show blitz for your secondary (Y/Triangle + RB/R1).

The only downside is that in some formations your linebackers may end up a couple steps closer to the offensive line than they might normally but this can really help with a lot of blitzes.

If you stayed to the end of the video, you saw a handful of blitzes that came in incredibly fast even against extra guys blocking. Get instant access to all of those blitz setups (and so much more) by joining Madden School Unlimited today!
