Playbook: Los Angeles Rams
Formation: Gun Tight Offset TE
Play: Slot Outs
Setup:
- Motion your X/square receiver to the left and put him on a comeback route
- Put your Y/triangle receiver on a streak route
Reads:
- Against a cover 3 defense, your Y/triangle receiver will get wide open.
- Against cover 2 defenses, your first look is the A/X receiver on the out route and then the running back on the angle route
- Against man to man defenses, you can look to the A/X receiver on the out route, the running back coming out of the backfield, and the X/square receiver on the comeback route
- Against cover 4 defenses, you can throw to your A/X receiver or the R1/RB running back coming out of the backfield
Overview: This is one of the best plays to run in Madden 17. Against cover 3 defenses, you should get a touchdown every time. You also have good options against every other coverage.
All you guys playing on All Madden or All Pro?
We test everything against both all pro and all madden to make sure it works on both.
Idk if it’s because of a patch but Y streak on Slot outs doesn’t get flat out open down field against cover 3 anymore.
Thanks for the report. We’ll look into it.
Can you let me know what you find? I labbed it against multiple cover 3s
Ya I tried it against a bunch of different cover 3’s. It still works.
In the video the deep middle safety runs toward the deep B route on Xbox, but with every cover 3 I run it against the safety chose to run toward the Y receiver.
It may be because of personnel. If you have a really fast receiver in the Y spot, he may get down the field faster and cause the safety to stay with him. The safety shouldn’t be much of a problem though because you should be lead passing to the sideline away from the safety.
Only way I can get it to work and be as wide open as your video is to put both WRs on the right side in streaks.
Make sure your B/circle receiver on the streak has a high speed rating. Or you can put the slot receiver on a streak and put the B receiver on whatever route you’d like.
How do you call a come back route? Is it the smart route because I don’t see it
It is R2/RB
