Playbook: Denver Broncos

Formation: Gun Snugs

Play: Drive Corner

Setup:

  1. Hot route your X/square receiver to either a streak or a slant

Reads:

  1. Your main read on this play is the B/circle receiver
  2. If he is covered, look to the A/X receiver or your running back in the flat

Overview: This play has a crossing route that goes from the right side of the field to the left.  When you mix this play in with WR Crosses, it makes it much harder on the defense.

Playbook: Denver Broncos

Formation: Gun Snugs

Play: Mesh

Setup:

  1. Hot route your B/circle receiver to a fade
  2. Motion the A/X receiver to the left

Reads:

  1. The A/X receiver should get open against both man and zone coverages. The timing is different for zone though so be aware of that
  2. If you find yourself under pressure or the A/X receiver is covered, dump it to your X/square receiver on the drag route

Overview: This is a great play to call when you don’t know what defensive your opponent is in.
