EA Sports completely revamped hot routes in Madden 26. Every player now has access to 4 extra hot routes. In previous games, you needed a special superstar ability to access those.
They have also changed the hot routes available to each player.

Outside Wide Receiver
Outside wide receivers have access to these hot routes:
- Fade
- Out
- In
- Curl
- Post
- Corner
- Slant
- Drag
- Deep Over
- Sluggo
- Post Sit
- Return
- Comeback
- Smoke Screen
As well as having access to smart routes and custom stems.
Slot Wide Receivers
Receivers lined up in the slot have access to these hot routes:
- Streak
- Speed Out
- In
- Curl
- Post
- Corner
- Slant
- Drag
- Deep Cross
- Zig
- Short Cross
- Return
- Slot Fade
- Flat
As well as access to the custom stem and smart route features.
Tight End Hot Routes
Players lined up at tight end have access to these hot routes:
- Streak
- In
- Out
- Curl
- Post
- Slant
- Corner
- Drag
- Deep Cross
- Wheel
- Zig
- Return
- Stick Nod
- Pass Block
Tight ends also have access to the custom stem and smart route features.
Running Back Hot Routes
Player’s lined up at running back have access to these hot routes:
- Streak
- In
- Out
- Curl
- Flat
- Swing Left
- Swing Right
- Triple Option
- Texas
- Post
- Corner
- Wheel
- Block and Release
- Pass Block
Running back also have access to the smart route and custom stem functions.
