Playbook: Oakland Raiders
Formation: Singleback Wing Tight U
Play: HB Dive
Setup:
- Motion the receiver in
Reads:
- Follow the blocks
Overview: This is one of the hardest HB Dive’s in the game to stop. This is a run that you can use multiple times a game and pretty much run straight down the field on your opponent. As shown in the video you can go straight up the middle or swerve your running back to the outside for a huge gain.
Playbook: Oakland Raiders
Formation: Gun Spread Y-Flex
Play: Y-Option
Setup:
- Put the A/X tight end on a streak
- Put the X/Square receiver on a drag
- Put the B/O receiver on an out route
Reads:
- The first read on this play is the running back on the angle route
- If that is not there look for the A/X tight end on the inside pass lead
- Then look for the B/O receiver on the out route
- Finally, check down to the X/Square receiver on the drag route
Overview: This mainly a way to attack Cover 3 defenses. The mixture of the running back on the angle route with the tight end on the streak is deadly for Cover 3. However, we have reads as well in case our opponent does run a different type of defense.
Playbook: Oakland Raiders
Formation: Gun Spread Y-Flex
Play: Jet Touch Pass
Setup:
- None Required
Reads:
- Follow the blocks
Overview: This is a unique run play that goes to your receiver. This play makes it extremely easy to get to the outside and gain big yardage. This will work even better against opponents that base align their defense and have their defense compressed.
I’m using Oakland’s playbook on my franchise and the formations don’t seem to be matching up identically?
