Singleback Bunch Ace

Playbook: New England Patriots

Formation: Singleback Bunch Ace

Play: PA Fork Shot

Setup:

  1. Put the RB/R1 tight end on a streak
  2. Put the X/Square receiver on a drag
  3. Block the running back
  4. Motion the B/O receiver out to the right

Reads:

  1. The first read on this play is the X/Square receiver on the drag route
  2. If that is not there look for the A/X tight end on the post corner route
  3. Then look for the B/O receiver on the post over the middle of the field
  4. Lastly, look for the RB/R1 tight end on the streak up the seam of the field

Overview: On this play we are using a motion with the B/O receiver who will get the A/X tight end open. While also the B/O receiver will be wide open over the middle on his post as well. We also have a drag route underneath which is always a safe check down.

Playbook: New England Patriots

Formation: Singleback Bunch Ace

Play: HB Wham

Setup:

  1. None

Reads:

  1. Follow the blockers

Overview: The HB Wham has been a popular run play in Madden, however it is normally used in a Deuce Close formation. Here we have it in the Singleback Bunch Ace formation. We can run it to either side of the field and we also will have a Quick Pitch in our audibles to mix in.

Playbook: New England Patriots

Formation: Singleback Bunch Ace

Play: Quick Pitch

Setup:

  1. None

Reads:

  1. Follow the blockers

Overview: Here we have a pitch play out of the same formation that we have the HB Wham in. These two plays by themselves can be very difficult for a defense to cover. Based on what you see in the defense you can audible to either one of them.

Playbook: New England Patriots

Formation: Singleback Bunch Ace

Play: Z Spot

Setup:

  1. Put the X/Square receiver on a drag route
  2. Put the B/O receiver on a streak
  3. Motion the B/O receiver out to the right

Reads:

  1. The first read on the play is the RB/R1 tight end in the flats
  2. Then look for the A/X tight end towards the sideline
  3. If that is not there look for the X/Square receiver on the drag route
  4. Also, against a Cover 2 defense the B/O receiver is a read on an inside pass lead

Overview: On this play we are using a concept to flood zone coverage on the right side of the field. This play can also be used in times where you must manage the clock and get out of bounds. The A/X tight end’s route goes toward the sideline making it easy to get out of bounds and stop the clock.

Playbook: New England Patriots

Formation: Singleback Bunch Ace

Play: Four Verticals

Setup:

  1. Put the running back on a streak

Reads:

  1. The main read is the RB/R1 tight end on an inside pass lead
  2. If that is not there look for the running back out of the backfield on the streak

Overview: We are using this play for when we are inside the red zone. Mainly against opponents that love to run Cover 3 defenses, the RB/R1 tight end will be wide open every time. Making this play very useful to punch in much needed touchdowns. It is even more difficult to defend when mixing in the run plays as well.

Do you guys know why I can’t snap while the wr is in motion. On your single back ace bunch the B wr once you put him on a streak I should be able to snap before he set but online won’t let me. In exhibition I can. Is it a patch online.
