There is some big news coming to franchise mode in Madden 20! A new development trait called, “X-Factor” will be added to the game and it is the highest development trait you will be able to get.
There are 4 development traits this year: Normal, Star, Superstar, and X-Factor. Both Superstar and X-Factors players can earn Superstar Abilities, but only X-Factors can earn Zone Abilities.
If you draft a player with Superstar ability or above, the exact development trait won’t be revealed until a little later on in the career of the player.
“One more draft surprise is that rookies with a Superstar Development or higher trait will have their development trait hidden until they’ve played through at least half of a season. These players have their abilities hidden until you reveal their Development Trait. This means that if you draft either a Superstar or an X-Factor Superstar you won’t know exactly what you’ve drafted until later in a season – use your preseason wisely.”
The other big news related to franchise mode is that players can no longer drop down in development when they have a disappointing season.
Much needed updates to the progression system were also added.
“We’ve overhauled our progression tuning, including making changes to XP gains from weekly training, actions on the field, and goal completion. These changes should ultimately lead to users being able to increase the OVR of more players on their team meaning they have more option in how to develop their roster.
What are you most excited about in Madden 20’s franchise mode? Let us know in the comments below!
Its should be as true to form of the actual player as possible. Been playing madden since the very first
Please add cpu vs cpu!
I’m saying. Playing online, should be the same as when your playing franchise mode
Add player rating change in transactions
Agree with this ?, always would wonder how some one out of the draft on franchise mode could already be an 80 or close to if they haven’t ever played a down in nfl. Im excited to see how it turns out .
Is madden 20 going to be better online than in madden 19? When I play madden 19 online, how come I’m tapping the button to a wide open receiver. I end up taking a sack? Or how come when I’m playing madden 19 online,(say for instance) when I’m kicking a FG. The power meter goes really fast going up,and dont have enough time trying to kick it accurately? It doesn’t do that in franchise mode. I’m saying “PAYING FOR THE INTERNET,FOR GLITCHES”. EA sports, you guys are getting money for really crappy quality
I want some more records, say I play the full season I want to to know if my QB passes the record for interceptions in a season, and if I have a really good running back I want to go know if at the end of his career he wins up being the all time leader in YPC, little records like that add a bit more incentive to keep going
If the player is good it shouldn’t matter if hes 55 or 75. And everybody around the same rating it just means the talent in the league is getting better.
What about offensive and defensive coordinators in owner or coach mode
if these are the only changes franchise mode will be disappointing once again. Madden makes 2k sports look more and more brilliant every year
I would really love if you guys add combine events to the game maybe 3 per week before the combine or draft to help or drop players stocks. Maybe even “Team Private Workouts” where we can select 3 players we believe or could be better or worse than the initial numbers are given i.e. bench positions drills kinda like they were back in 09 I believe it was. Sine the combine and draft are so big nowadays, why not give us more in the game with it?
