How To Motion Players In Madden 22

Putting a receiver, tight end, or running back in motion can open up lots of options for your offense. You can turn a post route on one side of the field into a corner route on the other side of the field simply by using motion.

The best part is, it is extremely easy to do.

Let’s go through it step by step.

Step 1: Select your play from the play call screen

Your offense has to be fully set at the line of scrimmage before you can send a player in motion.

Step 2: Repeatedly press B on XBOX or Circle on PlayStation

Continue to press it until you see a circle underneath the receiver that you would like to send in motion. Alternatively, you can hold down B/circle and then press the left stick different directions to select the player you would like to send in motion.

Step 3: Press the left stick in the direction you would like your player to go in motion

Usually if your receiver is on the right, he can only be motioned to the left and vice versa. Running backs and tight ends can often be put in motion either way but there are often restrictions based on formation

Now that you know how to send a player in motion, take it into a game of Madden and see if you can do it yourself!

Wrong button. You are using Triangle or Y instead of circle or B
