Madden NFL 17 New Orleans Saints Team Breakdown

The Saints aren’t as good this year as they have been in past Madden games, but true fans should still be able to use them.

Team: New Orleans Saints

Offensive Strategy: Balance.  The Saints have a top quarterback, 2 good running backs, and a few options at receiver and tight end.  There is no reason to get one dimensional with them.  Spread the ball around.

Defensive Strategy: Do whatever you can.  Outside of Cameron Jordan, the Saints have very little talent on defense.  The safeties are pretty good but the rest of the defense could use a lot of work.  Even so, it will be hard to stop most people you play.

Impact Players: QB Drew Brees, HB Mark Ingram, HB C.J. Spiller, WR Brandin Cooks, TE Coby Fleener, LT Terron Armstead, C Max Unger, RE Cameron Jordan, DT Nick Fairley, CB Delvin Breux, FS Jairus Byrd, SS Kenny Vaccaro

Strengths: Offense.  The Saints have a really balanced offense with playmakers everywhere.  Although they don’t have that one dominant guy on offense, they will have no problem putting lots of points on the scoreboard if you use them correctly.

Weaknesses: Defense.  Even if you have the best defensive scheme in Madden 17, you will struggle with the New Orleans Saints.

Overview: The Saints are a lower tier team in Madden NFL 17.  Their offense allows them to be competitive but the defense could use a lot of work.
