Madden NFL 15 Minnesota Vikings Team Breakdown

With the addition of Teddy Bridgewater and Anthony Barr, the Minnesota Vikings have a team with huge potential in Madden 15.  If Teddy Bridgewater progresses well in roster updates, the Vikings offense is going to be just about unstoppable.

We have the full team breakdown below.

Team: Minnesota Vikings

Offensive Strategy: Run the ball with Adrian Peterson as much as you possibly can.  Once the defense starts to commit 6 or 7 guys to stopping the run, you can start to air it out to Cordarelle Patterson and get Greg Jennings and Kyle Rudolph involved.

Defensive Strategy: Try to get a few interceptions.  The Vikings have good cornerbacks.  With a few decent blitzes, you should be able to force the opposing quarterback into a bad throw or 2.

Strengths: Running Back.  Adrian Peterson is by far the best running back in Madden NFL 15.  Drafting Teddy Bridgewater is only going to make Adrian Peterson more dangerous.

Weaknesses: Safety.  Harrison Smith is awesome but his low speed rating makes it hard for him to be an effective Madden safety.  The other safety position is very weak in Madden.

Impact Players: QB Teddy Bridgewater, HB Adrian Peterson, WR Greg Jennings, WR Cordarelle Patterson, TE Kyle Rudolph, DT Sharrif Floyd, ROLB Anthony Barr, RE Everson Griffin, CB Xavier Rhodes, CB Captain Munneryln, S Harrison Smith

Key Newcomers: ROLB Anthony Barr, QB Teddy Bridgewater, HB Jerick McKinnon, DT Linval Joseph, CB Captain Munnerlyn

Additional Remarks: The Minnesota Vikings have youth at all of the positions important to Madden.  They are a good team now but very well could be a great team by the end of the season.

The team ratings I will admit are fairly accurate however one thing really threw me off: Harrison Smith. First of all, Harrison Smith has two picks six in his career. Now being a safety, guess where he returned it for a touchdown? From his own territory !! No player can or has ever returned a pick from his own yard line without using speed; blockers can only hold their block for so long. Being the best safety in the NFC North and one of leagues best, that’s a huge rip against him and the Vikings. Nevertheless, its just a video game! Sometimes player ratings are severely discounted and wrong. But you want feedback, so here it is. Make sure your prejudices, hate, or biases on a player or team are set aside when it comes to rating because the one Harrison Smith was obviously off. Watch his tape again.

And for the fans who are reading the article, Jamarca Sanford is the safety next to Harrison Smith. In Madden 25, Sanford’s overall rating was a 79. Now, Sanford is rated that high because he has a neck for causing fumbles. He wouls need a down year for his rating to go down. Check his stats, just like every year he made tackles and fumbles once again. Not only don’t I know how that is weak but I don’t know how that is “very” weak. LOL
