Madden NFL 15 Baltimore Ravens Team Breakdown

The Baltimore Ravens are an intriguing team to use in Madden 15.  They aren’t necessarily a trendy pick but they have solid players at just about every position that matters which makes them dangerous.  Their defensive playmakers will allow you to be creative with your formations and depth chart which should result in plenty of turnovers.

Team: Baltimore Ravens

Offensive Strategy: Conservative passing attack. The Ravens have a pretty balanced offense with solid players at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and tight end.  The offensive line is above average as well.  Move the ball down the field and don’t make too many mistakes.  The defense should take care of the rest.

Defensive Strategy: Force Turnovers.  The Ravens have playmakers all over the field on defense.  To use them properly, you should be sending pressure at the quarterback, making big hits, and jumping routes.  Try to force at least 2 turnovers per game.

Strengths: Defense.  Every year defense is the key to the Ravens in both Madden and the NFL.  Although the Ravens don’t have as dominant of a Madden defense as the glory days when they had Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, the Madden 15 squad is no slouch.

Weaknesses: The running game.  Ravens fans are probably used to a pretty dominant running game in Madden.  Unfortunately that will not be the case this year with Ray Rice getting worse attributes from EA Sports.

Impact Players: QB Joe Flacco, RB Ray Rice, WR Steve Smith, WR Torrey Smith, TE Owen Daniels, TE Dennis Pitta, DT Haloti Ngata, LOLB Terrell Suggs, MLB Daryl Smith, MLB CJ Mosley, ROLB Elvis Dumervil, CB Lardarius Webb, FS Matt Elam

Key Newcomers: MLB CJ Mosley, DE Timmy Jernigan, WR Steve Smith, TE Owen Daniels

Additional Remarks: Although the Ravens are always known for their stifling defense, they have a pretty dangerous passing offense in Madden 15 as well thanks to the addition of Steve Smith and Owen Daniels.
