Madden 25 Pittsburgh Steelers Team Breakdown

Madden 25 Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a tough position heading into Madden 25.  They lost huge playmakers on both sides of the ball: WR Mike Wallace and OLB James Harrison.  We have their full team breakdown below.

Team: Pittsburgh Steelers

Offensive Strategy: Pass Heavy.  I know this isn’t what Steelers fans want to hear but if you are serious about competing with the Steelers in Madden 25 you will have to adjust.  Le’Veon Bell won’t come into the game with very good ratings initially.  That means you will have to rely on Benjamin Todd Roethlisberger Sr. to lead you in Madden.

Defensive Strategy: 3-4 Blitz, Blitz, and More Blitz.  It just wouldn’t feel right to use the Steelers and run some basic vanilla defense.  James Harrison was essentially replaced by Jarvis Jones and the Steelers defense will be completely healthy going into the Madden 25 release.

Impact Players: QB Ben Roethlisberger, WR Emmanuel Sanders, TE Heath Miller, OLB Lamar Woodley, MLB Lawrence Timmons, SS Troy Polamalu

Key Newcomers: OLB Jarvis Jones, HB Le’veon Bell

Biggest Strength: Incredibly talented defense.  Led by linebackers Lawrence Timmons and Lamar Woodley, the Steelers defense is as potent as ever even with losing James Harrison to the Bengals in the offseason.  The defensive line is getting a little old but are still solid while you can user control the secondary with Troy Polamalu.

Biggest Weakness: Running game.  Le’veon Bell looks like the real deal.  Unfortuantely when it comes to Madden ratings halfbacks not drafted in the first round rarely get any sort of love.  Get used to throwing the ball around the field while you wait for the roster updates to help you out at running back.

Rating: Slight Above Average.  The Steelers of Madden 25 are essentially the same team as they were in Madden 13 except for the loss of wide receiver Mike Wallace but they are still a top 15 team in Madden NFL 25.

Will Jarvis jones have at least an 80 rating?

Most first round picks excluding QB’s have 85+ but he might be lower if you factor in his lack of speed.

I have been using the Steelers every year since Madden 98. Top 15 team? Yeah right, they have been a top 10 Madden team every year. This year will be no different. I’m so good using them I have beat any team ranked higher no matter who uses them. Even without Wallace and Harrison, I trust EA will still rate em high long As Benjamin Todd Roethlisberger Sr is our quarterback.GO Steelers, can’t wait to smash fools in Madden 25

I agree the Defense better be A-1 (6th in pts allowed, 1st in pass defense, & 4th in rushing yd allowed) and that was with an injured Polamalu —- as far as the offense w/o mike wallace they will get back to what they did best –> “that dink-&-dunk offense that took them to the playoffs in years past”

The D line is getting younger not older. Keisel is the only old guy left

LISTEN UP , , you are oviusly not a steelers fan. Key Newcomers:Jarvis Jones : Very AGILE , Le’Veon Bell : I’ve been to training camp he broke multible 10-30 yard runs all day LONG, he has very good acceleration, decent speed , and he wieghs 244 and he’s 6’1. Markus Wheaton : Very FAST,REALLY good hands (unlike mike “butter-fingers” wallace). Biggest Weakness is THEIR SECONDARY. I SAY GET RID OF POLOMALU AND START SHAMRKO THOMAS. Their D-Line is young accept Kisel. Offensive stradegy is Light Pass and Abusive Ground and Pound Running Game this year. ‘nough said :/

As long as he’s top of the depth chart before week 1 the first roster update should give le’veon bell some love, the same goes for Markus Wheaton he will almost certainly be no. 3 on the depth chart behind sanders and brown so he should be usable at the very least, my guess is mid to high 70s with good speed, I mean the guy ran a 4.34.
Unfortunately Thomas will be brutal no matter what he does in pre-season back up safeties always are.
I do hope that Cortez Allen gets some love this year given it looks as though cornerback will be the most important position on D again this year, if the demo is anything to go by.

I play with Bell in the backfield and he is an absolute monster. When using LT with the truck stick while in the trenches, he more often than not trucks a linebacker and gets to the second level. Don’t believe me? Try it. very underrated player for some reason.
