Play: PA Read

Setup:

1. Hot route your tight end to a streak route
2. Hot route your running back to a swing to the right

Reads:

1. Your primary read on this play is your Y/triangle slot receiver on the crossing route
2. If he is covered, look to your X/square receiver deeper
3. Your running back in the flat is your bail out option if everything else is covered

Overview: This play works really well against both man to man and zone coverage.

1. Your primary read on this play is the X/square receiver underneath

Overview: This is another play that works really well against any type of coverage

Setup:

1. (Optional) Motion your receiver on the right to the left

Overview: The reason we call this play is so our opponent can’t pass commit when he sees the Gun Doubles formation.

Setup:

1. (Optional) Block your running back

Reads:

1. Your primary read is the B/circle receiver on the drag route
2. If he is covered, look to your X/square receiver on the comeback route
3. Your final read is your tight end on the deep in route

Overview: Keeping with the theme of this formation, which is not having too many adjustments, this play works really well against both man and zone defenses and has a few really good routes.

Setup:

1. Hot route your tight end to a slant
2. Hot route your X/square receiver to a streak route

Reads:

1. Against man to man defense, you are looking to your tight end
2. Against zone defense, look to your running back coming out of the backfield

Overview: This is another easy play that can get you 5-10 yards.
