madden 11 denver broncos ratings

The highlight of the Broncos’ Madden roster is rookie quarterback Tim Tebow, who brings a lot of hype to the table but also raises a lot of questions. Most Madden players will try out Tim Tebow at least once, just to see how he fits in with the new Gator Heavy formation in the Denver offensive playbook. His ratings are interesting, to say the least. The first things that jump out at you are likely his 90 acceleration, 84 strength, 98 toughness, 97 injury, 88 jump, and 86 carrying. His throw power is a solid 88, but his throw accuracy is 74, which won’t satisfy most pass-happy ballers. For a traditional passing offense, I would go with Orton, but I don’t think many people will use the Broncos without using Tebow.

As for the rest of the offense, Moreno still comes in strong at 88 speed, 96 acceleration, 97 agility, 92 spin move, and 94 jump. With Marshall gone, the receiving core is far less threatening. There’s still Royal’s 94 speed and Thomas’s 96 speed, but they lack the dynamic threat that Marshall was. Ryan Clady is as good as ever at left tackle, rated 98 overall and 99 on pass blocking. There are 3 serviceable guards, and it might be wise to move one of them to the starting center spot to cover up for the starting center’s 67 overall rating.

Dumervil is a flat-out monster at OLB. In Madden 11 he will have 86 speed, 97 acceleration, 99 pursuit, and 94 play recognition. Many players, depending on their schemes, might want to put him at DE because of his 99 finesse moves and 91 power moves. D.J. Williams is a great MLB, with 94 tackling and 95 hit power. While Woodyard is rated a 65 overall at MLB, some players might use him for his 85 speed. Jamal Williams anchors the D-Line, which is relatively slow overall. Champ Bailey continues to be one of the best-rated corners, still clocking in at 95 speed, 97 agility, and 95 jump. He and Brian Dawkins are the savvy veteran leaders of the defense, with 95 and 96 awareness respectively. Dawkins could be a decent user player with 85 speed, 88 hit power, and 88 jump. Goodman’s 92 speed at corner is good enough to match up with most #2 receivers.

Overall the Broncos are a fairly good team, but I don’t see any reason to use them over better teams unless
A) You are a Broncos fan.
or B) You need to get out your anger by trucking with your QB.

  3. As a Broncos fan I think they are extremely UNDERRATED in Madden they are pretty tough on both sides of the ball

  4. Great article. It's a lot of fun using Tebow and after his performance in the last three games of the season, I wish they would bump his pass ratings a bit.
