In my opinion, the Colts are a top 5 Madden team, but for some reason you don’t see very many people using them. With Peyton Manning at QB and Reggie Wayne at WR, what’s not to love? They have a very underrated D and have the best Safety and DE tandem in the game, along with some solid speed at the OLB spot, they have a pretty complete D. But why are they rarely used?
I think it has more to do with rocket catching than anything else. They just don’t have a solid rocket catching threat. They have solid WRs, but none are extremely tall, and even the TE, Dallas Clark, is undersized at his position. The other major reason is the general lack of talent on the RB depth chart. Neither Addai or Brown are considered good “Madden” backs. Addai has decent speed but the thing that sets him apart is his agility and his catching, making him a great back in a pass first O.
As for Madden 11? Well, for me the Colts drafted a guy that fits into my scheme perfectly in Jerry Hughes. In obvious passing downs I tend to play coverage and let 4 down lineman get after the QB. With Hughes being available at my dispoal, I can kick Freeney to DT and have Sessions, Hughes, Freeney, and Mathis rushing the QB (all 80+ speed). But with no solid rocket catching threat, and the lack of a truly talented RB (although i feel like Addai is VERY underrated) the Colts will yet again not be a team that is used very often.

Pierre Garçon is a 95 in spreed. Also Collie is 87 w/89 accel, and 92 catch, 90 route running, and 90 catch in traffic and He’s The Number 3 going against nickel corners and LBs. They have best1-4 WRs n TE combo in Madden and NFL.
