Outside Run versus User Safety

2 man under user safety against me running the HB has not been going well as of late. What have you guys done effectively when you're running your stretch to the outside and its just you and him. I know I can choose other plays, that's not what I'm asking. What moves or control options do you have that work?

Ok so your asking how to beat someone user vs user, right?

Use the right stick to your advantage! Juke him out of his cleats! Making quick decisions and quick moves is really all you can do. Also, dont try to juke someone with a power back like Michael Turner or Steven Jackson. Same goes for trucking with speed backs like Sproles. Know who you have and use moves according to their skills.

run draw/inside zones for balance so they don't automatically go to the outside, use a back with >93 speed and make sure the blocks develop. also maybe run to the side opposite of the safety he's usually controlling. Other than that I'm sure you're better than I am

You could be going to far to the outside .A juke could work not something I would do every time if they are playing the outside hard you must adapt and run inside.

i cant escape the olb for user he runs me down before i can get the edge

I had some more time to think about this, the answer is play action. get him to cheat, then burn him with the TE

I did do something logical that helps. I have 3 RBs. Each has a dominant attribute when running the ball. It has helped several times a game taking this approach, whether it be spin, stiff arm, or juke.

I like to run at the side he is usering stingray. If he is usering the FS, run the play to that side so he isn't bringing someone across the field and you won't be able to block him.
