Your best bet is just to try a quick seam pass or something like that. Nothing good ever comes from sitting around waiting, unless you literally just sit in the pocket and wait for a zone to open up.
Game ended, im on his 8 down by 6, no time on the clock. Im sea he's sf. He drops 11 into coverage. I try to user roure, no dice. What should i have done? Got tackled trying to run with rwilson after 20-30 secs

To be fair, trying an inside run would be ridiculous, no way you can be sure he would put 11 in coverage, and vs the 49ers trusting any run to go eight yards is suicide, especially with the game on the line
I'd go for: WR screen to HB, quick seam (although most guys would cover that first), possibly a comeback with something playing underneath, failing that just wait it out I suppose.
It's a tough situation and to be fair he made the best call really, the best defense is to not get in that situation in the first place ;)
singleback ace twins play action anything, HR both TE's to slants so they cross, make your RB streak, and put your outside WR on a deep fade. There's a video on the forum with the rocket catch, maybe this would be a good time to use it, assuming man coverage on outside and the safety won't be able to make it in time, seems like the best option. Or the TE's crossing could open up. or the Russell Wilson sneak
Actually, the idea of a slot screen isn't bad.
Screens in this game are good for beating for zone coverage, and especially slot screens since if you get the throw off quickly enough, the user on defense will run right into blockers.
There's a bunch of effective screens in the Patriots' playbook that utilizes this.
Can you point me towards a working wr screen in NO pb? They all fall apart on me consistently
