Of recent I use NE Playbook with New England as my team I use. I am "Run First" type of user, even with there playbook. I love singleback formation with Green-Ellis in the backfield with running up the gut with the motion plays (Deuce Wing Formation...it screws with your opponents head) and mix a toss with Woodhead time to time. You can destory with the Patroits because they have best Offensive Line in the game- no questions asked (Starting Line- 88, 96, 89, 92, and RT is 84overall)
^^^Eat the clock with this (You want to waste clock for the first half and hopefully be on top or tied at half with you receiving ball....then you can get your quick score with bombing the ball to Welker even if he is covered by 4 people)
Then just use your no huddle offense...I don't like using the shotgun in first half and giving them my plays.
Main shotgun formations I use are: "Pats Wing TE" (Welker in slot...sick slot screen) and its got 3 similar plays with the gun in the slot being motioned- just wait about 2 or 3 secs and TE should be open
"Pat Wing Trips" and "Trips TE" both have nasty screens and mediocre run plays that you can use with Woodhead- it just messes up the tempo if you use the runs with the screens and quick slants (oviously use Woodhead in most of your shotgun formations....sub Green-Ellis so you can mess tempo up more and not fumble the darn ball)

Sorry I dont actually have many plays included but with the run first offense- I just try alot of different plays but try to only use a few motions in shotgun to mess with their head...if I feel like passing that is (I usually average about 120yds running in a game....about 90 of those are with Green-Ellis)
***Don't be gay and abuse the screen plays- only use if you really need to complete that 3rd down play or mix it in once every couple drives

SIXBURGH SWAG!!!!!!!
Try gun spread flex formation with gronk and Hernandez as the outside wrs and welker and branch in the slot. The draw out of this form is nasty.
Keep it simple.
VS ZONE: I like To quick pass to the flats and get what u can OR run seam routes to the slots & facethrow to gronk or Hernandez on the outide.
VS MAN: I like to call slot outs & put gronk and Hernandez on curls and the left slot on a drag and the right slot on a slant in.
Mix in no huddle and the draw play when they start dropping more ppl in coverage. When they start blitzing I'll start calling the screen pass to Ridley (I start Ridley because he is basically a faster version of green Ellis, can't stand when their other RBs fumble) or woodhead for good yards.
U said u don't go under center much but use the jumbo pair formation with the heavy sub package to get an xtra o lineman in the game, along with gronk and Hernandez . Nasty run form but they still have to respect the pass with ur 2 TEs and welker.

two TE sets all day. IT works the best especially since gronk has gotten so good. if you attack the seams with gronk and the outside with welker and the underneath with hernandez you are golden

I wouldnt call myself a guru, but I've used the pats, and only the pats, since madden 11. I have maintained a decent win-loss rating over the course of that period of time as well. I will offer some advice which should fall into the no brainer dept for anyone familiar with their strengths etc are in real life and madden. First off....any time you can get both tight ends involved in a formation, its great. I tend to use Hernandez as my #1 TE and Gronk as #2 subbing him in for specific plays when appropriate. Having both those guys in a formation gives you flexibility in the run and pass. Welker aint fast per se, but he has high 90s accelleration and high 90s agility and high 90s catch in traffic, so welker is a beast in the slot. I use ocho as the deep threat. Edelman and branch are a toss up to me....I sometimes even use Matt Slater when I need speed and size. But dont try and do that long bomb crap that people try to do with megatron or whoever cuz they just dont have the personnell to pull it off against decent deep coverage.Obviously if the defense is begging for it, put ocho on a streak and bomb away....otherwise....pick city baby. On defense I've found playcalling is huge. Theres so many gaps in the talent level on that defense that you cant just call a play and hope a darrell revis or a ed reed makes a play....it aint gonna happen. But with the right amount of defensive know how, they're more than adept at making stops, just as in real life.
