lol, right. I hate players like this. That exploit the dumb AI who gets burnt by the same receiver on the same route EVERY play, when in man.
I guarentee his "money play" is that dumb @$$ corner route that man defense SHOULD be able to stop but doesn't. I switch to cover 6 and its a pick every time.
okay first off a money play is not an exploit, its a play i feel comfortable running against certain coverage every time. i understand how to read coverage. my problem stems from when i come out in 4 WR and my opponent comes out in quarters. i have trouble running with success consistently and would like to know what plays would be recommended when facing either zone or man coverage against quarters. any info or play ideas would help tremendously.
Well Quarters defense is designed to match up against 4-5 wide sets so it's not like it's extremely easy to beat through the air, but like everyone's been saying, run it. Do some draws, do some runs out of shotgun, make him adjust and get out of the Quarters D. But to beat it passing the ball I would say if he's in zone, recognize what zone coverage it is before the play and adjust your play/audible accordingly. If it's man, run some crossing patterns I guess. Crossing patterns out of compressed sets seem to work well whenever I use them cause alot of the defenders get caught up on each other. It's a cheap way to do it but it's A way. I don't like taking advantage of the CPU like that much but for as many times as the AI screws us, the users, then it's alright to screw them now and again![]()

Out of shotgun I would run a flood..Both are pretty effective against man and zone.
On the flood, you can either leave your inside receiver on the flat route, or hot route them to a quick out. If your backside receiver is running something that takes too long to develop, hot route them to a slant or a quick in. Generally the flood play works best against pretty much Any Zone (Cover 2, the Go Route should be a safe throw, its either incomplete or a touchdown...Cover 3 either one of the sideline routes will be open...Cover 4/Cover 6 the short sideline route will be open without fail.) and works okay against man.
The reads would be Strong side Go, strong side deep out, strong side flat/quick out, back side Post/Slant/In.
Run the ball! How is this thread even two pages, you see Quarters audible to a run and force them out of Quarters. If you can't run on quarters you shouldn't be playing online and no that's not being rude it's the hard truth. Hit practice mode and see just how easy it is to gain at the very LEAST 5 yards everytime against this defense.
Shotgun, 4 WR and 1 RB, then audible to draw play or even take the 8-12 yards running your QB. That will force him out of quarters.
So what is the presnap read on cover 4. I can always tell on the snap because of the safety play and the inside buzz drops. Then I can usually tell there going forward because of tendancies. But if somebody is not running it a lot what is the exact presnap read.

A lot of the tight end y trail plays beat most coverage. But, there is no money play against somebody who is good at usering
