How do you pick your plays?

What is the way you pick your plays and why?

Formation?
Play type?
Player?

I've been picking plays using play type, but I feel that may not be the best way to do it.

I use Formation and most people I know do the same.You can exploit individual matchups much easier.Also you can flick the right stick and move players around (I.E.Reggie Bush as a slot or WR)...Try this out...

If it gets down to it and I've called mostly all my favorite plays I'll just go into recent so I won't have to shift through everything.
