Default Proposal to help address madden fumbles

One of the most annoying things in this game is that you can be stripped while making a deliberate effort to cover up the ball using RB.

As this strip spam is so commonly used in madden, I propose that players be allowed to press RB again any time during the strip animation to give up and declare himself down, instantly ending the play.

Or is there a better button for it?

I would say the dive button.

I agree the fumbles caused by strips this year is a lil out of control...I know in real life, when you watch a game players on D go for the strip during tackles but the ratio to success is low, but in madden i've lost more than my fair share of games due to players who I was beating & had control of the game, call a play, get the 1st down and the guy goes for & gets the strip during a clutch drive...I don't mind losing out right because I threw 1 too many picks or played terrible D, but sh*t like happens & I'm like, "cooommee oooonn maaannn" it's like dudes don't even try to tackle you anymore they just press L2.....

Yeah, I spam LB when tackling constantly also, because there's really no disincentive for doing it and the returns can be enormous.

I'm not sure about the dive button; I could see issues between declaring down and actually diving lol. Maybe it would still be better than holding rb though.

Double tap the x button. You'll fall down to basically declare yourself down

At least it seems to be that way. It might be h

The best way is to reprogram it so that there is a risk/reward to using the strip ball button.

Right now, there is no "risk" to using the button, only reward. For example, if a 140 lb CB tries to tackle a 250 lb RB at full speed and he does the strip ball button, then not only does the small CB successfully tackle the large RB, but he's got a decent chance of pulling a strip.

In reality, what happens in that situation is that the CB trying to strip gets blown up on the play and the 250 lb RB runs right over him for a TD.

When you use the strip ball button, it should lower the chances of a successful tackle. That would cause players to use it more conservatively only in gang tackle animations. This is what happens in teh real NFL. A coach would go ballistic if he saw a small guy try to tackle a big guy one on one and go for the strip ball. Coaches know that it makes teh tackle less likely and can lead to a big play.

i think that the strip animation should not even be allowed to occur if the person with the ball is holding the RB/R1 button. This makes it so that button is much more valuable and very very useful in big time situations.
    .:Undisputed:.

How? Players can still fumble in real life when they hold the ball with two hands.

The rate is comically low compared to reality.

Also, I'm asking for the player to be able to declare himself down before the fumble happens. Instant play-over. That should be an acceptable course if you feel you aren't getting free.
