qb contain

Got a question that may be easily answered but I need to know something basic. What is the difference between a qb contain and a qb spy and what situations would you choose one or the other in?

contain is dumb to stop a running qb. They rush, but on an outside path and all the guy has to do is step up and run straight ahead, just use spy. Its more reliable as the spy shadows the QB

but contain is good for stopping alot of screen plays so use it for that

I personally like to use a contain on the opposite side I run a CB blitz from. Usually the QB will scramble right into it and once they break the pocket the contain guy will then pursue your QB.
