Over the last 5 or so years the Raiders have become the butt of the joke in the NFL. Lots of people, myself included, have been making fun of them for the dumb moves such as all the coaches they have gone through or the drafting of Jamarcus Russell and DHB over Michael Crabtree. This year though, they seem to be finally getting it right. The trade for Jason Campbell shows that they are interested in winning the right way and not just trying to bring back the vertical passing game that Al Davis made famous some years ago. WR Louis Murphy had some bright spots last year and showed that he might be able to be the stud WR that the Raiders have been missing since Tim Brown.
On D I feel like there one of the most underrated in the NFL, and bringing in who I believed was the top prospect on D in Rolando McClain, will shore up that LB core right away. They have a top 2 corner in Nmandi Asomugha as well as one of, if not, the fastest D in the NFL. The big question in all of this is Tom Cable. If he can pull this team together and give the Raiders a stable coach then I believe they can win the AFC West division this year.
One of the hardest things to do in football is switch coaches on a regular basis. It never gives the players a chance to learn and focus on one system and that stunts their development as players. Al Davis NEEDS to understand this. If the Raiders start 1-3 or 2-4 or something along those lines, he needs to let Cable ride it out. If all this happens, then I feel like the Raiders have what it takes to win the division and get back to the playoffs for the first time since the Tuck Rule.

Back to the playoffs for the first time since the tuck rule? Please get your facts straight if you want to write about the Raiders! FYI, the game where the tuck rule robbed the Raiders was against the patriots in the AFC Championship where the patriots went on to beat the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI on Feb. 3, 2002. Not only did the Raiders make the playoffs the following year, but they went to Super Bowl XXXVII on Jan. 26, 2003. Your article is amateurish and I suggest you stick to teams you know, if any!
this isnt a professional newspaper lol, nto to mention i added in the tuck rule for emphasis, it doesnt necessarily mean that it was literally the last time, its to leave a bitter taste in oakland fans’ mouth
u should lay off on canes lol hes doing his best to provide articles, and you should write up soemthing for raiders if you want people to know the real stuff
