The Saints in Madden 11

This past NFL season the Saints had a tremendous run. A historic run that led us to be the Super Bowl Champions for the first time since the franchise began. Before we even secured a spot in the Super Bowl, many were already saying Mardi Gras was going to be “All-Year”. That just showed the confidence the people had in our Saints to win it all. The Saints are still projected to be in the Playoffs in the 2010 Season, and could even possibly land in the Super Bowl once again. This season is going to be tough no doubt, but I think we can hold our own for another Lombardi Trophy.

In Madden 10 the Saints were a well used team. The personnel excelled in many positions. The wide receiver core is absolutely amazing; with Meachem & Henderson well equipped to burn many cornerbacks and safeties along with Colston to take some of the heat off of our receivers so they can get open. As far as the running game, Pierre Thomas can provide a bruising rushing game and allow Reggie to mix things up; with 97 Speed, things are bound to get ugly. At the quarterback position we have Drew Brews, enough said. Our secondary is incredible with room to still improve with Malcolm Jenkins making a permanent switch to Free Safety. Darren Sharper teaching Malcolm the ropes could be disastrous for other NFL teams in the 2010 Season. With the new addition of Patrick Robinson, we have plenty of depth should something happen to Sharper. Great cover player with the ability to jump routes crazy good. Robinson and Jenkins could very well replace both Safeties if necessary.
